Season Passes for fighting games are generally unfriendly and mysterious - knowing the exact number of characters you are receiving with purchase is typically all the information that you get. Dragonball Fighterz also didn't reveal the characters on each season pass until each individual character was ready for release. Guilty Gear Strive season passes do reveal exactly what you're getting content-wise (how many extra colors, how many extra stages, how many characters, extra story content, etc) but don't reveal the characters/stages that are actually included until one week before each character is released, so you REALLY don't know who you'll be playing as. Tekken 7's season passes were scummy in all sorts of ways, but typically didn't reveal the characters or stages until well after the initial sale period of each pass and would not reveal all of them at once (can't remember if information was even revealed close to the actual release date either).
If SFV was this transparent with its Season Passes consider me wildly impressed. Want to discuss Capcom in general? Check out r/capcom./r/fighters - A catchall subreddit for when one game isn't enoughĪ Newbie friendly fighting game community.Ī SF6 hangout for character specific combos & tech.
